City of Leeds Waste Management

The City of Leeds Waste Management Update:  The City of Leeds has just received information that our current residential waste management company, Ecosouth, has just been bought out by GFL Environmental, Inc.  There should not be any break in services.  It’s the same company, just new owners, so the company as Ecosouth should pick up your garbage through the end of the month and then as GFI should pick up your garbage beginning October 1, 2022.

Here is a message from Mayor Miller:

CITY NOTIFIED OF SALE OF ECO SOUTH AFTER THE FACT: The City was notified today that our garbage service provider, Eco South has been sold to another company. We have been advised that the new company will continue the use of the existing cans and will run the same routes with the same drivers. So…nothing should change except the name of the company. The City is in the process of verifying franchise agreements at this time. ~Mayor Miller
