COVID-19 Vaccination Appointments

COVID-19 vaccination appointments are available for Alabamians 75 years and older, first responders (including law enforcement and firefighters) statewide effective January 18, as healthcare workers and others continue to be vaccinated.

A new press release from the Ala. Dept. of Public Health says those 75+ can begin getting the vaccine, by appointment, beginning January 18.

They’re still giving it to the healthcare & first responders, but as it’s available, those in that age group can get the vaccination through county health departments & maybe through private providers.

Please be patient as we expect the demand to be great so there may be long lines and a very limited supply.  We expect this to improve as more of the vaccine becomes available.

As well as schedule the appointment for your vaccine, we encourage everyone to continue the state safer at home guidelines with social distancing, proper handwashing and sanitation procedures as we get through this pandemic period together.
