This Past Week’s Storms and Damage

The City understands the frustration and the devastation caused by this past weekend’s storms and the damage it caused to its citizens.

The flooding event on Ann Ave occurred in a known flood area, and its causality was the Little Cahaba flooding and overflowing its banks due to heavy rainfall. As the City has no drainage infrastructure in this area and all drainage is by natural features, this is an act of God.

We encourage all of our residents to be prepared for any natural disaster and to have in place plans and protections in place to protect life and property.
